OUR SPONSORS— GOTTA LOVE ‘EM

set, February 10, 2023

The Pre(R)amble would not have been possible without the help of our sponsors and partners. All these groups and people helped us put together the most fun event that has ever been seen in New York State, perhaps all of New England. Think of that the next time you visit them, and smile!

Northeast Health helped us greatly, making it possible to give Pre(R)amble Tee Shirts and put free bells on bikes. Kids— healthy lifestyle— fun outdoors in the fresh air and sun— Winning combo! And a big shoutout to Barb McCandless of Northeast Health for (wo)manning our Tee Shirt booth at StoryHarvest!

Troy Cloth and Paper cut the price to the bone for their amazing Tee Shirts, high quality and 100% cotton, giving us shirts at cost. Thanks for showing your support, guys!

Metroland, our media sponsor, got the word out beyond our social media to the greater public. While we reached our attendance goal and then some, we had many, many people come to the info booth at the Troy Farmer’s Market, picking up our map and saying what a wonderful idea the Collar City Ramble is. Public support is where it’s at— we can’t do this unless everyone wants it!

What’s a cause without a logo? Our event graphics were made by the tireless Andrew Lynn, and Steve Anderson of the Peasantman Steel Triathlon gave us the Collar City graphic— Yow! Are we snazzy!

And on the subject of graphics, thanks to NoName Design, who made our signage.

Stewart’s Shops and Honest Weight Food Coop gave us food for the Helmet Party, the Pre(R)amble itself, and, with Dunkin’ Donuts, coupons for prizes— we gave out lots of ice cream cone coupons and Dunkin’ Gift Cards!

Lynn Kopka gave us both cash and a beautiful collection of fabric and notions for our decorating party. Barb Nelson brought a lifetime’s collection as well.

Carmen’s Café threw us a fundraiser, and Michael Century contributed his musician’s fee— Wow, such generosity, and they were the first, they really got us off the ground. And Willie Marlowe, exhibiting artist at Carmen’s, was so moved she chipped in as well!

Brown Bag gave us dinner prizes. Home Depot chipped in for pipe for the bike flags. USA Track and Field got the word out. Others too numerous to mention!

Finally, a big thanks to our partners, great people to work with. Putting this together was a lot of work for everyone, and the selfless contribution of so many hundreds of hours of volunteer labor brought Trip’s Green Fair, the Troy Farmer’s Market, Burden Iron Works Museum, the Albany Bike Coalition, and the whole StoryHavest crew— what a collaboration! True to our mission of bringing people together, we are going to do it again next year, even bigger, engaging more folks. Can we count on your support?
