Ramble by Bike!
Level: Beginning and Intermediate
Launch Location: CCR Main Booth | Troy Waterfront Farmers Market at Riverfront Park
Trip Map:
Time: 12:00 PM

Description: Led by regional biking juggernauts Ken Crandall and Andrew Lynn, two groups of bike riders, a beginning and an intermediate, will be led on an urban bike ride through the city of Troy. Both tours will include street riding through historical neighborhoods and sites, but the intermediate ride will follow a longer, hillier route. The rides will explore the city at a human pace on two wheels, with possible stops for encountered activities. Pre-ride bike checks will be available starting at 11:15.

Bike Rodeo
Level: Beginner | KID FRIENDLY!
Where: River Front Park (by the in-ground fountains)
Time: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Description: Participants can join bike safety advocate, Joseph Paull of Alta Planning + Design during any part of the operating hours. The rodeo will consist of challenges, built around individuals new to bicycling, in order to help them hone their skills. Challenges will help develop the ability to stop quickly, swerve, make sharp turns, ride between lines, and stay balanced at slow speeds. Basics on bicycling etiquette, laws, and safety will also be taught. Kids who participate can receive a free helmet (given out on a first come first served basis).
